A local company has developed a lead test for your children, but you don’t test the product – you test your kids.

LeadConfirm lets you know whether your children have been exposed to excessive lead levels by testing their saliva.

San Diego-based Confirm BioSciences say the test is much easier than drawing blood.

“With our collection kit you basically just take a saliva sample, put it in your pre-paid mailer envelope, send it to the lab and you get the results in two to three days. You can get the results online, so you don’t even have to call,” Confirm BioSciences President Zeynep Ilgaz said.

LeadConfirm is available from Amazon.com and other select retailers.
